About AHA Workshops
AHA workshops are suitable for Hypnotherapists; NLP Practitioners. Counsellors and Psychotherapists etc. They are aimed at areas such as skill development, personal development, business, health, and overall wellbeing.
We encourage all members to take advantage of these workshops as you are not only able to continue your learning, you are also networking and involving yourself in the profession.

Saturday 18th February 2016 – Full Day Workshop
Educational Performance Training for Young People presented by Sheila Granger
In Australia 3,645,519 students are attending 9,393 schools. Over the last 5 years, Sheila has been assisting UK schools, colleges, universities and other educational organisations with a programme designed to help teachers and students prepare for exams by using relaxation and concentration methods.
In this workshop Sheila will share her experience of working in schools and colleges.
This workshop will include:
- Tools and techniques for your toolbox
- Effective pre-talks to teenagers
- Effectively working in groups – success vs. sabotage
- Pitfalls, precautions and managing pupil expectations
- Getting clear on your marketing message to schools
- How to sell the benefits of your hypnotherapy to schools and head teachers
- Positioning your services
- How to find and approach the key decision makers and secure contracts

Sheila Granger is described by the Times of India as Britain’s leading hypnotist. A UK professional clinical hypnotherapist known internationally for her pioneering virtual gastric band hypnotherapy for weight loss. Having now trained circa 1900 therapists in nine countries, and having licensed trainers to deliver her programmes in four countries. She is an international trainer and keynote speaker. Her clinical practice is based in a doctor’s surgery in the UK. Having gained her qualifications in hypnotherapy, accredited by the General hypnotherapy standards council in the UK, she went on to build a 35 clients per week therapy practice in just three years. More recently she has been working in schools and colleges delivering an Educational performance training programme for young people, helping them to perform at their best when it matters most.

We are always looking for speakers for our workshops. If you would like to present at an AHA workshop, please contact the Workshop Coordinator in the appropriate state. You will find contact details on the AHA contacts page. One of our workshop organisers will then get in touch with you to discuss possibilities.
The Australian Hypnotherapists’ Association came about by a small group of clinical hypnotherapists who had already been practicing for a number of years and who came together because they were determined to set high ethical and professional standards for the hypnotherapy profession in Australia. They searched each other out to support each other and share their knowledge. That happened in 1949 and AHA members have been continuing this practice of sharing their knowledge ever since….
